At De Havilland Primary School, we appreciate oracy as an essential facet of an effective, empowering and expansive education. We believe that an education in oracy is the responsibility of every teacher and the entitlement of every child. Oracy is therefore valued as an essential life skill weaving itself through every area of our curriculum, all aspects of school life, at all stages of a child’s development. We place a high priority on supporting the development of good speaking and listening skills amongst our pupils.
