Sparky Learning Builds Futures

Some people refer to Mr Briggs as our Site Manager, others a Super Hero but this week Mr Briggs has been bringing our Building Futures Curriculum to life as our very own Year 6  specialist science teacher. Mr Briggs made the children a giant size model of a circuit board and explained the science behind currents and voltage. After very little time, Mr Briggs had 30 apprentices wiring up plugs and safety checking their own learning. “We certainly have some electricians in the making at De Havilland!” (Mr Briggs)

Here’s what the children thought…

“I thought it was really nice that Mr Briggs was on hand to help us if we found it difficult” (Lily-Marie)

“I got the hang of it and found the learning easier because of the way he explained it” (Riley)

“I really enjoyed being taught like that. It was a really fun lesson!” (Serena)
